Porcelain veneers are thin shell of ceramic porcelain, that are bonded over damaged, misaligned/rotated, or stained teeth as result of years of coffee or wine-drinking, tobacco-use, grinding teeth, chips, and and other issues. Treatment with porcelain dental veneers begins with an impression of your teeth and fabrication of models for study and treatment planning. The teeth are then prepared minimally as possible and porcelain veneers are custom-made at our local dental laboratory here in Arizona. It takes about two visits to prepare and deliver porcelain veneers. After the veneer is designed, it is fabricated to the pre-determined shade and are then attached and bonded to the tooth with a durable cement and adjusted for fit. The damaged tooth is now restored with a healthy-looking porcelain veneer that can last years to come.
